SIMPLICITY DISCIPLINE
Lecture and Workshop

A parent's journey is filled with both precious moments and difficult situations. Often parents will bring a child to see me telling me the problem is the strength of their will. What I see is a child who pushing back in the same way the he or she feels the world is pushing in.”

LECTURE
OPEN TO ALL
Friday, September 24, 7:00p
at the Vancouver Waldorf School
Admission $10

This presentation will provide parents and educators with a developmental roadmap to help establish the kind of discipline that is nurturing and effective for children of all ages.

WORKSHOP

Saturday, September 25, 2:00-4:30pm
at the Vancouver Waldorf School

Registration opens August 23.

In this workshop we will explore more deeply the themes presented in the lecture.

- How to avoid getting stuck in one kind of disciplinary ‘style’ as our children grow: learn how to train creative compliance for the young child, build emotional skills for the elementary age, and for the teenager, manage critical choices.
- The difference between behaviour that is a normal expression of a healthy will as opposed to willfulness and over controlling.
- Easing behaviour problems around sleep, food and for the very young, potty training.
- How to work with the “No!” response from our children.
- How simplifying the fast paced life our families experience can have a profound effect on how our children respond to our direction.
