The wet cold spring has delayed the harvest this year by a month; first cherries will be available the second week of July, to be followed by apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums,pears, and apples.

Float Home Dinners

My name is Max Cameron and I want to cook you an amazing meal! I’ve cooked professionally in Vancouver, Montreal and Iceland and plan to continue to travel and learn from different restaurants and cultures around the world.

In the meantime I would like to invite you into my beautiful float home in North Vancouver and share my passion for food with you. I am offering 5 to 8 course meals for groups of 8 to 12 people at the float home or I am happy to come into your home to cook for smaller groups. If your group is less than 8 people then I may combine you with another group, so you may even make new friends.

The food that I cook is almost entirely local and seasonal, although i do occasionally drift off this if I draw inspiration from a book or see something in the market that isn’t quite in season that I just have to try. Stylistically my food is a product of where I have worked, with a french foundation from working at the Terminal City Club, to a mix of bistro and fine dining style that I gained from my time in Montreal and the Nordic style of cuisine from my stage at restaurant Dill in Iceland. I bring a little of each of these experiences into every dish that I cook. These dinners are a precursor to my future trips to stage at the top restaurants in the world where I will bring back techniques and styles that I plan to continue to share with you through these events.
