Week At A Glance – April 3 – 6
Welcome back after Spring Break for our 3rd and final term! Over these next three months, we will all be offered opportunities to engage and celebrate as VWS community members – be that through watching students perform in their class plays, participating in any of the school driven festivals or picnics, attending concerts and award ceremonies, or gathering for the Community Forum in May and the Gala Evening in June! There is so much to look forward to, so please be sure to read The Current on Fridays and reference these Week-at-a-Glance emails at the beginning of each week to stay on top of all that is on offer.
THURSDAY – April 5
- Full Faculty & Staff Meeting 3:00 pm, GS
FRIDAY – Feb 19
- Community Coffee Morning 8:30 am, GS
On the first Saturday of Spring Break, we introduced 10,000 new tiny friends to our community with the installation of honey bees into their new hive at the Grade School. Weather permitting, next Monday, April 9, our beekeeper Jason will give parents an introduction to beekeeping as we learn some hands-on practical activities. This adults-only introductory session is by donation and is a continuation of the Study Group that started in the fall. If the sun is shining, we will be meeting at 4:30 outside of the upper-grade classrooms. If the weather is poor, we will need to postpone. I will keep you updated.
On Saturday, April 21, Ella from the Red Door Store will be offering a workshop on Making Play Silks with Natural Dyes. Pre-registration by this weekend is required. You may reach Ella by email at email@example.com or by stopping into the store most mornings after drop-off. See the poster below for details.
Wishing you a great week ahead.
