Week at a Glance December 3 – 7
Dear VWS Families,
Thank you to everyone who generously took part in our Food Drive these past 2 weeks. Together, we collected 10 full boxes of nutritious food items that will be donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank to distribute to people in need. This afternoon, students in Grade 4 helped to draw the name for the recipient of the gorgeous quilt they lovingly stitched, and we are thrilled to announce that Linda Zhang is our lucky winner! Congratulations Linda! Watch for photos in the upcoming newsletter on Thursday.

Lunch Offerings – The first round of lunches were lovingly delivered to each campus today. Thank you, everyone, who has already signed-up. If you are considering taking part in this kind gesture you are still able to sign-up here http://signup.com/go/HSopEaR. ** For families in the Early Childhood, please use the paper sign-up at your child’s class to mark the date you would like to bring a meal.
Christmas Music Concert – A reminder that our festive concert is scheduled for Wednesday, December 12 at Highlands United Church. All students in our music programs from Grades 4 – 12 will be performing that evening. Grade School students will be rehearsing on Tuesday, December 11. There is a Grade School early dismissal planned for Wednesday which is intended to allow time for children to rest and have downtime before joining us in the evening.
AWSNA Steering Committee – Please read the important message linked here http://www.vws.ca/have-your-say-online-shape-our-vws-future/.
Wishing you much warmth and kindness in these darkening days.
