Dear Families of the Vancouver Waldorf School,

We have a special visit this week from the BC Ministry of Education who is here to follow-up with our school in terms of rolling out the new BC curriculum. If you see them about, please help us in welcoming Henry Contant, Lora Clarke, and David Beeke who will be with us visiting classes and meeting with teachers and administrators until Wednesday afternoon.

Announcements:

A few announcements and reminders…

  1. Christmas Fair – Watch for a message coming out later today with information about class-assignments, online sign-ups, and more. The Fair is coming up on November 24, make sure you’ve got your calendar marked!
  2. Parent Teacher Interviews – Many Class Teachers have organized their own sign-ups, however, Subject Teachers, and Class Teachers for Grades 1, 2, 5 and 8 have opted for an online sign-up this year. Please check the link http://signup.com/go/QPtgUdS, and schedule the appointments you would like
  3. November Break – There will be no classes during the week of November 12 – 16. We will be closed on November 12, in recognition of Remembrance Day.
  4. Flower Bulbs – The flower bulb order has arrived. Grade 9 students have sorted your packages and they are now ready for pick up from me in the Communications Office. If you have not yet provided payment, please do so.
  5. Purdy’s Chocolates – Grade 12 students are taking orders for Purdy’s Chocolates, just in time for Christmas holiday giving and sharing!
    • Go to fundraising.purdys.com and select the ‘Support a Campaign’ button.
    • Sign in or create an account, then enter the customer/campaign number 41471. Click ‘Join’ and you will be redirected to the Grade 12 Trip Fundraising group dashboard!
    • Go to ‘Shop Online’ in the menu, then click ‘Marketplace’ to create your order OR if you already know which items you would like to buy, go directly to the ‘Online Order Form’.
    • Once you have selected all your goodies, proceed to checkout, complete your order & payment, then log out. THANK YOU!
