Weekly Sneak Peek – April 10 – 14

Dear Community,

I’d like to start out by saying that I think we have the loveliest community here at the Vancouver Waldorf School. The Spring Market exceeded all of my expectations; there were a few special moments that brought a joy-filled tear to my eye which involved two new activities to the event – the Community Weaving Project and the inclusion of our friends from Cascadia Society. I was particularly touched by some of the stories shared in the Handwork room, including one from a teacher who wove a piece of the scarf they had worn every day since their students had entered grade one. I was also deeply moved by the beauty and harmony of the cello concert performed by the companions from Cascadia. That said, every aspect of the fair was perfect, and I would love to hear about some of the highlights for you. If you feel moved, please email me at lbergstrome@vws.ca or stop in to see me in the Development office. Also, if you have any photos you would like to share, please forward them to me.

Join me in extending gratitude to the members of the planning committee who have been working behind the scenes for months now to bring this event together: Jann Winters, Gwynneth Sobejko, Laura Montgomery, Nicole Beauchesne & Julie BellThank you!
