Community & Resource Development Manager
Dear Community Members,
We are pleased to advise that Mary Henley has been appointed as the Community & Resource Development Manager for the Vancouver Waldorf School. Mary is an active community member and previously acted as co-Community & Resource Development Manager on an interim basis in early 2016.
Mary completed a Bachelor of Arts (History) at UBC and an MBA through QUT in both Brisbane, Australia and Grenoble Ecole de Management in France. She has spent the majority of her career within the education sector in business development and program manager roles, delivering customized services to unique client groups. Mary advises that her most rewarding experiences at work have always centered around connecting people to address needs. Over the past four years, Mary and her family have enjoyed extended adventures in Australia and New Zealand, living in community on rural properties and contributing to natural building projects. Mary’s dusty bookshelf holds titles about heart-led parenting, food security, social justice, permaculture, and wellness. Mary and her husband, Ben, have a daughter in Grade One and a son in Preschool. She is excited about joining the wonderful team at VWS, especially building relationships with the parent, alumni and wider school community.
Mary’s first day is Monday, September 25. Please join us in welcoming her.
