Bees & Trees is a collaboration between the co-workers and companions with special abilities from The Cascadia Society and students of the Vancouver Waldorf School. Now in its eleventh year, this unique project is an artistic production that has proven to be an unforgettable experience for all.
The Bees & Trees themed fairytales are presented in eurythmy, an art of movement which makes the words of a story and the accompanying music visible. Handbells, lyres and other instruments add to the festive mood. The magical original score is composed by Stephen Chobaniuk, Ida Novak, and Alison Robers.
Eurythmy was inaugurated by Rudolf Steiner over 100 years ago. It is especially suited to fairytales because the movements and colours stimulate free and lively imaginative pictures in the viewers.
