Iron Hans – Fairy Tale Christmas

Iron Hans is a collaboration between the co-workers and companions with special abilities from the Cascadia Society and students of the Vancouver Waldorf School. Now in its tenth year, this unique project is an artistic production that has proven to be an unforgettable experience for all participants.

The fairytale is presented in eurythmy, an art of movement which makes the words of a story and the accompanying music visible. Hand bells, lyres and other instruments add to the festive mood, to ring in the Christmas season. The magical original score is composed by Lorna Fortin.

Eurythmy was inaugurated by Rudolf Steiner over 100 years ago. It is especially suited to fairytales because the movements and colours stimulate free and lively imaginative pictures in the viewers.
