Week At A Glance – June 3 – 7
Dear VWS Families,
During this first week of June, I hope that all of us are able to take a moment to exhale after the busyness of May! June is a month of beach days and picnics, outdoor adventures, and celebrations to mark the end of the school year.
Tomorrow we will see off Grade 4, as they head up Mt Seymour for a camping trip, then next week Grade 6 will ferry across to Vancouver Island for a caving adventure at Horne Lake, Grade 7 will be away paddling on Pitt Lake for a canoe expedition, Grade 9 will be in Duncan for a week of farming at Alderlea Farm, Grade 11 will be cycling the rolling hills of Salt Spring Island, and Grade 12 will be away enjoying the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island in Sooke. Other classes have either already taken their trip or will be taking advantage of the sunny forecast with shorter adventures closer to home.
We wrap up the school year with the Grade 12 Graduation on June 15, a Eurythmy and Awards Evening on June 17 and the Grade 8 Moving Up Ceremony on June 20.
Also on the horizon is a Crepe Breakfast at the Grade School on June 18! (stay tuned for more details)
