Week At A Glance October 21 – 25
Dear VWS Families,
As you enter the school over the next three days, you may notice a few new friendly faces. As mentioned in the newsletter, we have welcomed a 7-member AWSNA Accreditation Team from other Waldorf schools across the continent. They are here visiting classrooms at each campus; meeting with faculty, administration, parents and volunteers; reviewing our policies and procedures; and reporting back with recommendations. They have a heavy workload over the next few days but are friendly and keen to meet you. Please be sure to say hello and introduce yourself if you see them. If you would like an opportunity for a one-on-one conversation with any of them, please sign-up for a meeting time using the link below under the Upcoming Events heading on Tuesday.

Morning Drop-off – Thank you again to everyone who is using the newly implemented Kiss-and-Go lane at the Grade School. You have helped to vastly reduce the congestion in our parking lot in the mornings.
We’re seeing that enhancements may still be made for our ECC families who are left searching parking spaces from where they may safely escort their young children to the Early Childhood Centre – often with car seats and toddlers in tow. We have observed a number of parents taking a few extra minutes after dropping off Grade School children waiting in their vehicles making phone calls or texting. If this is part of your morning routine, please consider vacating your parking space immediately to help ease the morning flow for fellow parents. We realize this may be an inconvenience, however, if you are able to pull around the corner, a block or two away, to make calls or check emails, it could greatly improve morning drop-off for another family.
We are incredibly grateful for your support in keeping our grounds safe and we welcome your feedback and suggestions for improvements.
